Campus Reconstruction Project — Multi-purpose Hall
The Multi-purpose Hall is the final stage of the St. Mary's Campus Reconstruction Project, with the unfurnished structure scheduled for completion in April 2011. St. Mary's fund-raising goal of ¥400m will equip the Multi-purpose Hall with the furnishings necessary to take advantage of this flexible educational, athletic and performance space. Items to be funded include ventilation and air-conditioning, retractable seating, acoustic panelling, stage lighting and sound, and a coverable orchestra pit.
Configurations for the Multi-purpose Hall include the musical, with an orchestra pit; rehearsal area and separate wrestling area; IB Art Exhibit; lecture hall; concert hall; theater; theater-in-the-round; and assembly hall.
Following the illustrations of representative furnishings, below, is information on how your generous, tax-deductible contribution can help to make the Multi-purpose Hall a reality for the students of St. Mary's International School.
Retractable seating is more comfortable and more convenient than individual folding seats. Seating similar to that shown above will comfortably accommodate 448 guests, and stow out of the way when additional space is required. Please see the St. Mary's Alumni Association's drive to sponsor a seat.
Programmable stage lighting and audio controls will round out the audience experience when the Multi-purpose Hall is configured for performance, be it theater, a musical, or a choral or instrumental concert.
Campus Reconstruction Project — Annual Giving
St. Mary's International School has a strong tradition of providing quality education to the international community in the Tokyo area. We are already seeing evidence that our new school campus will soon be a reality and we are confident that this renewal will enable us to continue our tradition of providing a quality educational experience for years to come.
One need only take a brief look around St. Mary's to see that our building project is already under way. The archeological digging is proceeding well and is scheduled to be completed by January 2008. Once the digging is finished, we will begin construction of our new North Campus which will house our regular classrooms, student support offices and all the administrative offices. This is a very exciting time for St. Mary's. It is a time to look forward to the completion of our beautiful new campus, but also a time to remember that we are building upon the strong foundation of academic excellence and service to our students that have always made St. Mary's proud.
We would like to take this opportunity to ask you to support our campus reconstruction so that we can continue to provide the best possible educational environment for your sons.
There are two ways you can give tax-free donations to us:
- In Japan, we have a "Tokutei Koeki Zoshin Hojin" status.
- In the U.S.A., we have a non-profit foundation, "Friends of St. Mary’s International School"
